Or times and places to take the opportunity to speak about FAM to friends and clients.
You can:
- Speak about FAM at an annual Mother’s Day picnic for your clients.
- Speak about FAM at an open house for your practice.
- Send a holiday newsletter to your clients and enclose the holiday appeal letter from FAM’s website.
- Enter contact and client addresses in a database for agility of use for writing and sending fundraising ideas.
- Apprentices can volunteer to enter addresses of contacts and clients in a midwife’s database.
- Enclose a FAM brochure in your initial packet for clients.
- Add the FAM web address to materials <www.formidwifery.org>.
- Mention the nonprofit nature of FAM at your quarterly potluck or peer review/support meetings.
- Bring Thanksgiving Coffee to meetings and let people know about the Cornucopia project.
- Use the “how can I ever thank you” moment to mention FAM.
- Use the six week visit to remind clients there is a nonprofit organization to which they can send a memorial, list an honorarium, or donate large sums tax free!
